Children’s wear carries market-specific labelling and substance rules, for example tracking labels for the United States and formaldehyde limits for babywear in Japan. We list what applies to your destination in the costing.

Certificates belong to factories and mills, not to Giga Sourcing. Which scheme applies depends on the factory selected for your programme; live certificates are shared per programme after factory selection.

Kidswear & babywear — FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity for kidswear and babywear?

1,000 pieces per style per colour. Mills dye and knit in large lots, so the floor is set by the fabric, not the sewing line; your costing confirms it for your spec.

How much does a kidswear piece cost to make in Bangladesh?

We publish an indicative FOB band for kidswear and babywear only once at least three written factory quotes support it. Until then the price guide shows the method and the main price drivers (fabric weight and composition, certification (oeko-tex class i, gots) and print or embroidery), and your costing estimate is built line by line from factory quotes.

Can you make babywear to OEKO-TEX class I?

Class I is the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 class for babywear, and partner factories can make to it. The certificate belongs to the factory or mill and is shared per programme.

What labels do children’s garments need?

It depends on the destination: care and composition labels everywhere, tracking labels for the United States, and market-specific rules elsewhere. Tell us where you sell and we list the requirements in the costing.

Do you handle labels and packaging?

Yes. Woven labels, hangtags, polybags and cartons are sourced and attached in the factory.

How do you check quality?

Inline checks during sewing and a third-party final inspection at AQL 2.5 before you pay the balance.

How long does sampling take?

Typically 10–14 days for a proto on stock fabric, plus courier time. Fit and PP samples follow in 1–2 week cycles.

Can I visit the factory?

Yes, in person or by video walk-through, arranged once your programme is confirmed.
