Jackets & outerwear — FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity for jackets and outerwear?

500 pieces per style per colour on stock fabric; 1,000+ for custom-dyed or custom-made fabric. Mills dye in lots of roughly 1,000 metres, which is why custom colours need higher quantities.

How much does a jacket cost to make in Bangladesh?

We publish an indicative FOB band for jackets and outerwear only once at least three written factory quotes support it. Until then the price guide shows the method and the main price drivers (shell fabric and finish, lining and insulation and zips, snaps and hardware), and your costing estimate is built line by line from factory quotes.

Can you make technical or padded outerwear?

Simple shell, lined and quilted jackets, yes. Heavily technical outerwear, such as seam-taped waterproofs, is a harder fit for Bangladesh; we say so in the first reply if another origin suits your spec better.

Why is jacket development slower than knit tops?

Lining, hardware and construction usually need more fit rounds. Allow 14–21 days per proto round and plan for extra sampling before pre-production approval.

Do you handle labels and packaging?

Yes. Woven labels, hangtags, polybags and cartons are sourced and attached in the factory.

How do you check quality?

Inline checks during sewing and a third-party final inspection at AQL 2.5 before you pay the balance.

How long does sampling take?

Typically 14–21 days for a proto on stock fabric, plus courier time. Fit and PP samples follow in 1–2 week cycles.

Can I visit the factory?

Yes, in person or by video walk-through, arranged once your programme is confirmed.
