Sweaters & knitwear — FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity for sweaters and knitwear?

300 pieces per style per colour on stock fabric; 500+ for custom-dyed yarn. Mills dye in lots of roughly 1,000 metres, which is why custom colours need higher quantities.

How much does a sweater cost to make in Bangladesh?

We publish an indicative FOB band for sweaters and knitwear only once at least three written factory quotes support it. Until then the price guide shows the method and the main price drivers (yarn composition, gauge and stitch complexity (cable, jacquard)), and your costing estimate is built line by line from factory quotes.

Which yarns do you work with?

Cotton, acrylic and wool blends are on the standard list. Yarn lead time often sets the schedule, so yarn is booked first and shown on the timeline.

Can you make jacquard and intarsia patterns?

Yes, on machines that support them. We confirm machine capability, gauge and pattern size with the partner factory in the costing.

Do you handle labels and packaging?

Yes. Woven labels, hangtags, polybags and cartons are sourced and attached in the factory.

How do you check quality?

Inline checks during sewing and a third-party final inspection at AQL 2.5 before you pay the balance.

How long does sampling take?

Typically 14–21 days for a proto on stock fabric, plus courier time. Fit and PP samples follow in 1–2 week cycles.

Can I visit the factory?

Yes, in person or by video walk-through, arranged once your programme is confirmed.
