Trousers & chinos — FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity for trousers and chinos?

800 pieces per style per colour on stock fabric; 1,000+ for custom-dyed or custom-made fabric. Mills dye in lots of roughly 1,000 metres, which is why custom colours need higher quantities.

How much does a pair of chinos cost to make in Bangladesh?

We publish an indicative FOB band for trousers and chinos only once at least three written factory quotes support it. Until then the price guide shows the method and the main price drivers (fabric weight and stretch, garment dye vs piece dye and pocket and closure details), and your costing estimate is built line by line from factory quotes.

Why is the minimum 800 pieces for chinos?

Bottoms use more fabric per piece and more sewing operations than knit tops, so mills and lines set a higher floor. 800 pieces per colour applies to stock twill; custom-dyed fabric needs more.

Can you garment-dye chinos?

Yes. Garment dyeing gives a soft, lived-in colour and can be done in smaller lots than fabric dyeing; shade variation between pieces is part of the look and is agreed on a sample.

Do you handle labels and packaging?

Yes. Woven labels, hangtags, polybags and cartons are sourced and attached in the factory.

How do you check quality?

Inline checks during sewing and a third-party final inspection at AQL 2.5 before you pay the balance.

How long does sampling take?

Typically 10–14 days for a proto on stock fabric, plus courier time. Fit and PP samples follow in 1–2 week cycles.

Can I visit the factory?

Yes, in person or by video walk-through, arranged once your programme is confirmed.
