Compliance, audits and traceability
We vet factories before they join our network, share the live certificates for your programme, and prepare the evidence your compliance team asks for.
What is included
- Factory vetting: a site visit by our team, a document review and a social audit less than 24 months old
- Certificates for the exact factory and mill on your programme, with numbers and expiry dates
- Expiry tracking, so a lapsed certificate does not surprise you before your ship date
- Traceability notes per programme: mill, fabric and factory
- Origin documents for duty preferences, such as a certificate of origin or REX statement where it applies
- A list of the labelling requirements for your destination, for example care, composition and children’s-wear labels
- Test reports from accredited laboratories, coordinated for your market
What you receive
- A certificate pack for the programme
- A factory audit summary
- Origin documents where they apply
- A traceability sheet: mill, fabric and factory
- A labelling requirements list for your destination
How it works
- Step 1
Vet the factory
Site visit, documents and social audit are checked before a factory is listed.
- Step 2
Match the schemes
We map the certificates you need to the factory and mill that make your order.
- Step 3
Share the evidence
Live certificate PDFs, numbers and expiry dates are shared for your programme.
- Step 4
Prepare market documents
Origin documents and labelling requirements for your destination.
- Step 5
Keep it current
We watch expiry dates and tell you if one falls before your ship date.
Pricing basis
Included in our service fee, with outside fees at cost
- Vetting and certificate sharing are part of our service fee, quoted as “from 5%” and confirmed in your costing.
- Fees charged by outside laboratories or certification bodies are billed at cost.
- We prepare evidence and documents. We do not give legal advice, and your compliance team makes the final call.
Questions about Compliance
Can Giga Sourcing itself be GOTS or OEKO-TEX certified?
Product certificates belong to mills and factories, so we show you theirs. A buying house can hold a GOTS trader licence; any scope we add will be listed on the certifications page.
Which certificates do I actually need?
Most buyers need one product-safety certificate and one social audit. “Organic” needs GOTS, “recycled” needs GRS, and babywear needs OEKO-TEX class I.
Do you help with the EU forced-labour regulation and supply-chain due diligence?
We provide factory audit data, certificate numbers with expiry dates, mill and fabric traceability and, on request, dated visit reports. Your compliance team uses them in your own due-diligence file.
When do I see the factory’s name?
Factory identities are shared once you accept a quote. Before that we show capabilities, certifications and audit dates.
