Stands for: Bill of Materials
The list of every material in a garment, with specification, supplier, consumption and cost: fabric, thread, trims, labels and packaging.
The BOM is where costs hide. Comparing quotes line by line against the same BOM exposes substitutions such as a cheaper yarn or a lighter zip.
