GLOSSARY TERM

Size set

A set of samples across the size range, usually the base size plus the smallest and largest, made to check that grading holds up.

A size set confirms that the pattern grades correctly and that measurements stay within tolerance at both ends of the range. It is typically approved after the fit sample and before pre-production.
