Stands for: Global Organic Textile Standard

A certification covering the whole processing chain of textiles made from organic fibres, including environmental and social criteria.

A product labelled “organic” must contain at least 95% certified organic fibres, and “made with organic” at least 70%. Claims on a shipment need a transaction certificate as well as the facility’s certificate.
