GLOSSARY TERM

POM

Stands for: Point of Measure

A defined location on a garment where a dimension is measured, such as chest width or sleeve length, together with the method and tolerance.

The measurement chart lists POMs by size with a tolerance, for example ±1 cm. How a POM is measured matters as much as the number: flat edge-to-edge is not the same as circumference.
